News:
Trainer Danny O’Brien will continue his evidence at a hearing in Melbourne over high cobalt levels in horses from his stable.
O’Brien and fellow Flemington trainer Mark Kavanagh will return to the inquiry on Monday for the second week.
Flemington Equine Clinic vet Tom Brennan has told the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board he added a substance called Vitamin Complex to IV drips given to horses from both stables.
But Brennan has denied knowing it contained high levels of cobalt which pushed the horses’ levels above the threshold.
Brennan is appealing a disqualification handed down by NSW stewards for supplying Vitamin Complex to Sydney trainer Sam Kavanagh.
