News:

Dual Group One-winning colt Pride Of Dubai has been retired with a hind fetlock injury ending his racetrack career.

The winner of last year’s Blue Diamond Stakes and ATC Sires’ Produce, Pride Of Dubai missed the spring with bone bruising in the same area.

He beat only one runner home in his comeback in Saturday’s Eskimo Prince Stakes and his retirement was announced two days later.

In another blow for trainers Peter and Paul Snowden, stakes winning mare Dublin Lass has also been retired after a disappointing run as favourite in Saturday’s Breeders’ Classic.

Pride Of Dubai is owned by a group which includes Coolmore Stud and the China Horse Club.

He had just five starts for two Group One wins and earnings of more than $1.3 million.

Cannyescent was another casualty from the Eskimo Prince with trainer Gabrielle Englebrecht tell stewards he was lame in his near front fetlock after his seventh behind Spill The Beans.
