News:
While Press Statement is the dominant early favourite for the Randwick Guineas in Sydney, the Australian Guineas market is much more open.
Both Sydney and Melbourne will have a Group One 1600m Guineas for three-year-olds on Saturday with Caulfield Guineas winner Press Statement at $1.70 to win at Randwick.
Boom New Zealand colt Xtravagant, meanwhile, heads the Australian Guineas market at $4.20 with the Darren Weir-trained Palentino at $4.80.
Victoria Derby winner Tarzino is at $6 for the Flemington race while Mahuta, who has won his past six starts, is at $7.
Xtravagant has won five of his eight starts across the Tasman including two at Group One level.
Acceptances for both Guineas are taken on Wednesday.
