Sydney Sixers vs Adelaide Strikers Preview

The Sydney Sixers take on the Adelaide Strikers for a place in Saturday night’s decider, and while the latter has found an excellent run of form recently, I am sticking with the former.

The Sixers have been largely clinical in their bid for a championship three-peat this season, and they ended the regular season second on the ladder. While it is probably fair to say they haven’t been quite as potent recently, they tend to find their best when the pressure goes on, and their experience at this point of the season puts them in good stead this week.

The Strikers were anchored to the bottom of the table as recently as three weeks ago, but and incredible resurgence, highlighted by six-consecutive wins recently saw them sneak into the finals and ultimately, eliminate both the Hurricanes and the Thunder and find themselves in this position.

Subsequently, the Strikers have opened slight favourites in match betting, but I am still going to take them on. The Sixers’ knowledge and success late in seasons simply cannot be understated, and I think they’ll end the Strikers’ run of form, and season.
