Aaron Finch has confirmed his Indian Premier League season is likely over after scans revealed the extent of his hamstring injury.
Finch was forced from the field during the Mumbai Indians loss to the Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday (Wednesday AEST), pulling up sharply and clutching at his left hamstring after stretching for the crease on a quick single.
The Victorian batsman spent time on the ground grimacing while being attended to by team staff, before being helped from the field to retire hurt on 10.
Following scans on Wednesday, Finch confirmed the worst in a post on Twitter.
“Looks like I’ll be out of the rest of @IPL at this stage! The scan showed a bit of damage, absolutely shattered!”
