Glamorgan sign Aussie bowler Hogan

West Australian fast bowler Michael Hogan confirmed on Tuesday he has signed a three-year contract with England county cricket side Glamorgan.

“I am thrilled to be joining Glamorgan. I have always been keen to play cricket in the UK and am pleased to have joined such an ambitious and passionate county,” said 30-year-old Hogan.

Hogan, who has a British passport, will join the squad early July after being recommended by his captain Marcus North, who is also joining the county this summer.

Glamorgan’s head of elite performance Matthew Mott said: “We are delighted to have secured Michael’s services for at least the next three seasons.

“He is a talented cricketer and will further strengthen our bowling attack. It is a fantastic time to sign him as he is one of the form bowlers in Australian cricket.”
