Punters have slashed the odds of Anthony Mundine knocking out Shane Mosley from $9 into $7 at Sportingbet in the final hours of betting prior to their superweight bout in Sydney tonight.

Mundine’s odds of beating Mosley have also firmed from $2.60 into $2.35 at Sportingbet, while Mosley’s odds have drifted from $1.50 out to $1.60.

“Up until today we’ve been struggling to write a bet for Mundine but more than 70% of the money we’ve taken on the fight since this morning has been in favour of The Man,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.

“In the space of an hour we took bets totaling more than $1000 for Mundine to KO Mosley versus next to nothing for Mosley to win by the same method,” Brown said.

Mosley’s odds of winning by KO or TKO have drifted from $2.25 to $2.35 at Sportingbet.

Punters are tipping the fight to go beyond nine rounds, with over 9.5 rounds a $1.45 favourite ahead of under 9.5 rounds at $2.75.
