Saints’ Riewoldt back after concussion

St Kilda skipper Nick Riewoldt will take his place in the Saints’ line-up after final teams for Sunday’s games were confirmed on Friday.

Riewoldt missed last week’s big loss to West Coast after he was heavily concussed in a head clash with Adelaide’s Brodie Smith.

The 32-year-old spent a night under observation in the Royal Adelaide Hospital but met with specialists, including a neurosurgeon, before being given the green light to return.

St Kilda made four changes for their clash against Brisbane at the Gabba, with Jarryn Geary, Luke Delaney and Jack Lonie also into the side, with Sam Fisher (hamstring), Shane Savage (omitted), Tim Membrey (omitted) and Eli Templeton (omitted) dropping out.

The Lions recalled Ryan Harwood and Zac O’Brien to replace Mitch Golby (omitted) and Daniel McStay (hand).

Collingwood regain Alan Toovey from a jarred knee at the expense of Tim Broomhead, for their big clash against North Melbourne at the MCG.

Kangaroos’ skipper Andrew Swallow has been named despite missing just one match after undergoing thumb surgery, but coach Brad Scott will make the final call on his fitness on Saturday.

Ben Brown also returns from a knee injury with Ben Jacobs and Mason Wood dropped.

The Eagles have made one change ahead of their clash with Geelong at Subiaco, with Brant Colledge replacing Elliot Yeo, who was suspended for a high hit on St Kilda’s Templeton.

The Cats are sticking with the same line-up that thumped Carlton in Mick Malthouse’s last game as the Blues’ coach.
