The Tigers are an expansion club this year who signed up big names but are still yet to find their feet and North Melbourne is a team many consider premiership favourites.
Inaccurate kicking and failure to capitalize when it mattered cost the Tigers the chance to have their historic first AFLW win as they went down to fellow expansion team the Gold Coast Suns by 11 points.
North Melbourne were efficient and got the job done with an 18 point win over GWS in Launceston last week.
The Roos were able to prevent the Giants from making the most of their chances but the leadership of skipper Emma Kearney (20 disposals) and her deputy Jasmine Garner booting two goals and 19 possessions showed the Kangas class in the cross-wind conditions of Launceston.
I don’t expect that Richmond’s first win will be this weekend against North Melbourne, but with the line at -13.5 in favour of the Roos who go into this game clear favourites, the Tigers can get close and might give the flag favourites a bit of a fright this Sunday.
