When the two teams last met it was in a Preliminary Final last season when the Crows put on a clinic and thrashed the Cats to the tune of 66 points.
The Cats were scoreless until the 12 minute mark of the fourth quarter in that match.
However, we shouldn’t expect a repeat performance of that this Sunday.
Geelong comes off a 19 point loss to Brisbane after leading by 11 points at half-time and the Crows survived a scare from expansion side St.Kilda trailing for most of the match but were able to notch up a 13 point win with an explosive performance in the last quarter.
Adelaide go into this match the favourite and despite being 0-2 Geelong has shown that they can match it with the best teams in the AFLW but can’t sustain it for four quarters.
This game is a fascinating matchup and the line is generous being set at -10.5 the way of the Crows, if the Cats can get four quarters of consistent footy in this game they could find themselves getting some sort of revenge from last years humiliation in the preliminary final.
