If teams earned points for honourable losses, the Tigers might be at the top of the ladder.

Richmond gave it their all last week against Port, leading at the main break but eventually conceding six goals in the final term on their way to a 30-point loss.

Liam Baker starred with three goals to go with another solid game from Tim Taranto, but with enough of a sample size to base an opinion on now, it just feels like the Tigers are missing an extra option in the midfield, or another target up forward.

Sydney, on the other hand, is shaping up to be a serious contender for the flag.

The Swans remain unbeaten after walking away 30-point winners over the Bombers in what was another dominant fourth-quarter display.

Led by another monster day from Issac Heeney and Tom Papley, Sydney charged home with six goals in the final term – similar to their win over Melbourne in Opening Round.

The Swans can always be a tough team to trust at the ‘G, but it feels as though John Longmire’s squad has overcome whatever hangover plagued them last year.

Clinical in front of goal, around the stoppages, and down back, the Swans look to have an extra punch that the Tigers seem to be lacking right now.
