Essendon forward Leroy Jetta has escaped an AFL suspension for a rough conduct charge against Sydney’s Ben McGlynn after submitting an early guilty plea.

Jetta was hit with the level one charge from Saturday’s match at the SCG which the Swans won by 44 points.

It carried an initial sanction of 125 demerit points, which came down to 93.75 points and a reprimand with the early guilty plea.

Jetta – who has struggled to break into Essendon’s senior team this year – was the only player charged from round 10.

Separate incidents involving experienced St Kilda duo Sam Fisher and Leigh Montagna in Sunday’s 68-point loss to North Melbourne were assessed by the match review panel, which deemed that the contact was below that required for a reportable offence.
