Knee fears for Dogs’ No.1 AFLW draft pick

The Western Bulldogs and Isabel Huntington are anxiously awaiting scan results amid fears the No.1 AFLW draft pick will need another knee reconstruction.

Huntington ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee in round two of the 2018 AFLW season and has undergone scans on the same knee after a training mishap at the weekend.

The top overall pick at the 2018 draft has also previously undergone a reconstruction on her left knee.

Huntington had recently been given the all clear to return to full contact training.

If she does need a third reconstruction, she will miss the entire 2019 AFLW season that starts in February.
