Howe has something to prove in AFL

Collingwood recruit Jeremy Howe admits he has something to prove at his new AFL club.

The high-flying utility left Melbourne on Monday as part of a complex four-way trade that also involved Adelaide and Port Adelaide.

While the childhood Magpies fan has shown plenty of ability in his 100 senior games with the Demons, the big knock on Howe is consistency.

“I feel like I do have the ability to be a consistent player – obviously from game zero to 100 I haven’t been able to do that,” Howe said on Tuesday.

“So I feel like my next 100 are going to be the ones (where) I can really provide the footy that I know I can play.

“The change of environment – I have something to prove.”
