Hawthorn will be out to go a step further than last season when they take on Fremantle in today’s AFL grand final at the MCG.

The Hawks are favourites but also held that status before they were upset by Sydney in last year’s decider.

Fremantle, who are playing their first grand final, have stuck with the same side that beat the Swans in a preliminary final last weekend.

Hawthorn have called up Jonathan Simpkin to replace the injured Brendan Whitecross.
