Eagles unleash Jetta to face Hawks

Former Sydney speedster Lewis Jetta will play his first game for West Coast in the match of the round against Hawthorn, with the reigning premiers regaining ruckman Jonathon Ceglar for the clash at the MCG.

Final teams for Sunday’s matches were confirmed on Friday evening, with the Hawks also bringing in tall defender Daniel Howe for the grand final rematch to replace skipper Luke Hodge (fractured arm) and Marc Pittonet (omitted).

Former Hawthorn premiership midfielder Xavier Ellis (Achilles) drops out of the Eagles’ line-up that defeated Brisbane last week.

No.1 draft pick Jonathon Patton is one of three unforced changes for GWS, along with Will Hoskin-Elliott and Stephen Coniglio, as the Giants prepare to host Geelong at Manuka Oval in the early game.

The Cats have stuck with the same 22 that defeated the Hawks in round one.

Dale Thomas is in for Carlton, who also handed Charlie Curnow his AFL debut, as the Blues host Sydney at Etihad Stadium in the twilight game.

Sam Rowe and Dylan Buckley were dropped from the side that gave Richmond a fright in their season-opener.

Veteran defender Ted Richards returns for the Swans in place of Michael Talia (foot).
