Carlton took their season record to five wins and four losses after a hard earned victory of the Brisbane Lions last week at the Gabba (98-85)
That was their fifth win in the past six weeks and sees them holding on to eighth spot on percentages.
However, with Hawthorn, Sydney and Essendon in the next three rounds, the Blues will have to produce their best in preparation for the torrid month ahead.
They come up against the GWS who, unfortunately, appear to be getting worse with each round of the competition.
They’re yet to register a win this year and have lost their last three games by margins of 132, 83 and 100 points.
They’ll be looking at the wrong end of another big score this week especially if the Blues can address some wayward kicking from last week that resulted in their 98 points being less than it should’ve been.
