The last game of round 22 is between Brisbane and the Western Bulldogs, 4.40pm at the Gabba on Sunday. This looks like a close match to finish off the weekend, with
the Lions slight favourites to take home the points. Both of these teams are actually in pretty good form at the moment, with Brisbane winning six of their past nine
games and the Bulldogs winning four of their last seven. The home ground advantage could be important here for the Lions.

Lethal welcome at Lions: Adcock
In what sounds like the death knell for Brisbane chairman Angus Johnson, Lions co-captain Jed Adcock says the return of AFL great Leigh Matthews will have a “massive impact” on the rebuilding club.
Johnson’s neck will go on the line when he lines up against a Matthews-led rival ticket at the Lions annual general meeting in December.
Johnson drew a line in the sand after refusing to stand down when challenged by Brisbane directors Paul Williams and Mick Power at a board meeting on Wednesday.
Asked if he believed he could defeat a Matthews-led challenge backed by Williams and Power, Johnson curiously responded: “This is not a popularity contest”.
Unfortunately for Johnson the Lions’ AGM vote will be exactly that and the portents are not good judging by Adcock’s feedback on Thursday.
“Of course he would (have an impact),” Adcock said of his former coach Matthews.
“We all know he’s had a massive impact on footy in Queensland, let alone the AFL in general.
“I mean, if Leigh came back, you’d imagine that would be good for the footy club.
“What role or what capacity that is, that’s up for them to decide.”
Lions members need some good news after the surprise axing of favourite son Michael Voss as coach and the “botched” recruitment of Paul Roos which earned the ire of Williams and Power.
And it seems the return of the man who guided them to three straight flags from 2001 would provide just that.
A successful coup could result in Matthews being ushered into a football director’s role at the Lions.
Johnson warned on Wednesday that the boardroom coup would only make their job of recruiting Voss’ replacement harder.
But Adcock did not believe there would be any impact on the players as they prepared for Sunday’s Gabba clash with round one tormentors Western Bulldogs.
“It doesn’t really affect the players at the moment in any way so I guess you can sort of move on from this one pretty quickly and let the board do what they’ve got to do and organise themselves,” Adcock said.
“Last week when Vossy was let go, that probably had an effect on-field but not when it comes to the board.
“You’d probably find a lot of young guys out here, they are probably unsure with what is going on.
“(But) you move on and worry about playing footy, a bit like last week.”
Assistant coach Mark Harvey will hold the reins for the rest of the season.
