TAB punters getting behind Geelong has been a theme of 2021 and it has continued in the lead-up to Preliminary Final weekend, despite the Cats being outsiders against Melbourne.

Geelong is $2.70 to the Demons’ $1.47 but account for 60% of the trade on tomorrow night’s match including some of the biggest bets of the week. One was a $20,000 double on Geelong and Port Adelaide to both win at a price of $3.88.

The Power are all the rage in Saturday’s night’s match, responsible for 81% of trade, including a $5000 bet at the opening price of $1.44. Port did get in to $1.40 but is now $1.42 with the Bulldogs, who opened $2.75, at $2.90 after touching a high of $3.

TAB has been up on Norm Smith Medal betting for a fortnight and Clayton Oliver heads into Preliminary Final weekend $9 favourite, just clear of Ollie Wines ($10) and Christian Petracca ($11).
