The AFL and the players association have agreed to a six-year, $1.84 billion pay deal.

Tuesday’s agreement ends negotiations that lasted months longer than expected and comes after players earlier this year considered strike action or other protests.

The AFL and the AFL Players Association are unveiling more details of the deal at a media conference in Adelaide on Tuesday afternoon before the Hall of Fame dinner.
