Melbourne co-captain Nathan Jones will miss up to six weeks of the AFL season after suffering a quadriceps injury.
Jones injured the quad muscle in his kicking leg during the Demons’ 57-point win over the Western Bulldogs on Sunday.
“We just want to be pretty cautious with (it) … sometimes that can be a tough injury to rehab and we really want Nathan at the back end of the season,” Melbourne performance manager Dave Misson said.
