The findings of the NRL Integrity Unit’s probe into the use of performance-enhancing drugs at Cronulla could be made public on Tuesday with the NRL calling a press conference at its Sydney headquarters at 12.30pm (AEDT).
It is understood that NRL boss Dave Smith in conjunction with the integrity unit finalised punishments for the club more than a week ago.
News Corp recently reported that coach Shane Flanagan would likely lose his job over claims that he failed to act appropriately in overseeing a drugs program at the club in 2011.
The NRL’s investigation is separate and independent of ASADA’s 10-month inquiry, which has seen 14 members of Cronulla’s 2011 squad interviewed this year.
