The shortened round is finalised with Melbourne and Collingwood playing their traditional Queen’s Birthday match.
Collingwood continued their sequence of win/loss this season, with a comfortable victory over a Brisbane side that was missing a few key players last week, 100-51.
The Pies have not won successive games since the opening two rounds of the season but against the Demons, should be able to rectify the frustrating run.
Melbourne suffered their ninth loss of the season and their sixth in succession when thumped last week by Hawthorn (143-48).
The Dees have lost games this year by an average of 76.6 points and Collingwood have been asked to cover -75.5 here. Given Melbourne’s last two defeats have been by 90 and 95 points, that mark looks reachable if the Pies kick straight.
