The Scorchers kick off their campaign on Saturday against a similar-looking Sixers side to the one they knocked out in the Qualifier last year.

Perth has endured a horror injury run that has caused many pundits to write them off, losing key pace bowler Tymal Mills only a week after Phil Salt was ruled out for the year with a shoulder injury.

It’s a tough ask opening the season short on star talent, even moreso against a Sydney side that features serveral of last year’s leading runscorers and wicket-takers.

The Sixers have struggled mightily against Perth losing all four of their meetings last year, but with a serious talent edge and a game under their belt, I think the visitors are the team I’m playing on.
