NRL considers crackdown on behaviour

The NRL will consider a proposal by Melbourne chairman Bart Campbell to take a tougher stance on misbehaviour and stand down any player accused of serious crimes.

News Corp on Friday published extracts of an email sent by Campbell to league bosses in which he lamented that the game was “morally tone deaf”.

Commission chairman Peter Beattie says Campbell’s submission will be considered when the ARLC meets later this month.
