AFL tribunal clears Selwood of striking

The AFL tribunal has found Geelong captain Joel Selwood not guilty of striking.

Selwood faced a one-game ban for striking Port Adelaide forward Lindsay Thomas but will now play in Saturday’s home game against Sydney.

Also on Tuesday night, Thomas pleaded guilty to rough conduct and received a three-game suspension, while fiery Hawthorn defender James Sicily also pleaded guilty to serious misconduct and will serve a one-game ban.
