Queensland have claimed a tense three-wicket Sheffield Shield final win over Tasmania at the Gabba late on day four.

Chasing 133 for victory, Queensland lost four for none to be seven for 88 before Steve Magoffin and Chris Hartley steered them home in an unbroken 45-run stand.

Tailender Magoffin was not out 26 and keeper Hartley unbeaten on 19.

James Faulkner took three wickets and Luke Butterworth two for Tasmania.
