The Tigers may have had their best start to a season in years, but at least one punter is tipping it will come to an end this week, betting $25,000 at $1.72 with online bookmaker sportsbet that Collingwood will win this weekend’s big matchup.

Collingwood have easily been the best backed team of the round, with only minimal support for the Tigers seeing them drift from $2.05 to $2.10.

“The Tiger supporters may be up and about, but punters aren’t convinced that they are the real deal just yet. In what was tipped to be a close game, it is certainly all one way traffic from a punting point of view on Collingwood,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.

Adelaide have also been one of the best supported teams this week at $1.14, with the money coming in ten to one for them over the Western Bulldogs who have drifted from $5.50 to $5.75.

And while Carlton and Melbourne are hovering dangerously close to the bottom of the ladder, punters are tipping it will be the Blues who will be first to secure four points out of the two teams.

Carlton are $1.68 to get a win before Melbourne at $2.10.

“Even though Carlton have been close in all their games and Melbourne have been smashed, the fact is both are still winless. But either way we are tipping the Blues will get in the winners column before the Demons,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.
