Top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark breezed into the semi-finals of the Copenhagen Open Friday by beating France’s Alize Cornet 6-0 6-3.
Though she lost focus slightly in the second set, the two-time defending champion needed just over an hour to finish off Cornet in Copenhagen’s Farum Arena.
Wozniacki will next face Croatia’s Petra Martic who beat Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia 6-4 4-6 6-3.
Third-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia defeated Estonia’s Kaia Kanepi 4-6 6-1 6-3 to set up a semi-final against Germany’s Angeligue Kerber.
Kerber appeared to be in bad shape after being blanked in the second set by countrywoman Mona Barthel but bounced back to win 6-2 0-6 7-5.
