Venus Williams has thrashed China’s Ying-Ying Duan in the third round of the Australian Open, taking just 59 minutes to reach the last 16 at Melbourne Park.
Duan was no match for the five-time Wimbledon champion, who won 6-1 6-0 on Friday night on Margaret Court Arena.
Williams progresses to the fourth round, where she will play Australian hope Ashleigh Barty or Germany’s Mona Barthel.
