Bernard Tomic came back from a set down to get the better of Martin Klizan in the opening round of the Open 13 in Marseille.
The Australian looked ready for an early exit when he lost the opening set, but he struck back to take the next two on his way to a 4-6 6-3 7-6 (9-7) win.
In the day’s other first-round match, Jerzy Janowicz had an easy time of it against Lukas Rosol, the seventh seed winning 6-2 6-4.
