Samantha Stosur’s French Open love affair has continued after the veteran became the fourth Australian through to the second round.

Czech mainstay Barbora Strycova offered plenty but the former finalist held her nerve on her favourite surface to prevail 6-2 7-6 (7-3) on Monday in Paris.

The 35-year-old will next play Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova as she attempts to reach at least the third round at Roland Garros for the 11th-straight year.
