The second-seeded Queenslander broke the Israeli early in both sets before cantering to a 6-1 6-1 victory.
Defending champion Mona Barthel began her title defence with a hard-fought win over Kiki Bertens 6-7 (4) 6-2 and 6-3.
Barthel suffered a painful first round defeat at Wimbledon where she lost to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
