UPSET ALERT: Kasatkina sent French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko packing with a 6-3 6-2 victory in the day’s biggest shock.

TOURNAMENT SUMMARY: Former champion Juan Martin del Potro is emerging as a title dark horse after thumping 11th seed Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets. Sixth seed Dominic Thiem and ninth seed David Goffin are also through to the last 16. Women’s world No.1 Karolina Pliskova survived a three-set scare against Zhang Shuai to move through to the second week, joined by fourth seed Elina Svitolina and Vandeweghe.
