Rising star Nick Kyrgios says improving his ranking won’t be a driving force for him this year as he attempts to regain his love of the tennis tour.

Kyrgios was banned from the ATP tour in October after tanking several points at the Shanghai Masters, and the 21-year-old says he’ll play less tournaments in 2017 in order to avoid burnout.

The world No.13 will kick off his summer by teaming with Daria Gavrilova to defend their Hopman Cup crown at Perth Arena.
