Nadal makes short work of Dominican rival

World No.1 Rafael Nadal has marched into the second round of the Australian Open with a commanding win over Dominican Victor Estrella Burgos.

Nadal, who lost last year’s final at Melbourne Park to Roger Federer, cruised past the veteran world No.83 6-1 6-1 6-1.

The Spaniard appeared to be moving freely on his troublesome knee which restricted his Open preparations and limited the 16-times grand slam champion to one competitive outing in almost three months.
