Millman too good for Tomic in France final

An in-form John Millman has continued his impressive clay court form by brushing aside fellow Australian Bernard Tomic to win the Open du Pays d’Aix Challenger event in Provence.

Top-seeded Queenslander Millman, who reached the final of the Hungarian Open last month, prevailed 6-1 6-2 to claim the $200,000 event in the south of France.

It was also the world No.70’s first victory over Tomic, who will now return to the top 200.

The resurgent Tomic has won four consecutive clay-court matches for the first time to set up the all-Australian showdown.
