Millman crashes out of French Open

John Millman’s French Open campaign is over following a four-set first-round loss to Spanish 17th seed Roberto Bautista-Agut.

Millman produced a spirited mid-match fightback before succumbing 6-2 6-2 0-6 6-1 in two hours and 14 minutes on Monday.

Millman’s defeat follows first-round losses for fellow Australians Bernard Tomic and Alex Di Minaur, leaving Nick Kyrgios, Jordan Thompson and Thanasi Kokkinakis to fly the flag in the men’s event.
