US Davis Cup captain Jim Courier is expecting to face a full-strength Australian team despite Nick Kyrgios’s absence from Kooyong on Tuesday.

While the Australian team trained without him, Kyrgios was withdrawn from media duties and from an official dinner ahead of the tie beginning Friday.

On Monday, team captain Lleyton Hewitt said he was confident Kyrgios would overcome a lingering hip complaint to play Jack Sock on Friday.
