Nick Kyrgios has beaten Italy’s Paolo Lorenzi in straight sets to progress to the third round of the Rogers Cup in Canada.
The Australian 16th-seed needed only 63 minutes to see off the world No.38’s challenge, winning 6-2 6-3 in Montreal on Wednesday.
Kyrgios will play the winner of fourth-seeded Alexander Zverev’s clash with Richard Gasquet for a place in the quarter-finals of the ATP event.
