Kyrgios blows up en route to Laver Cup win

Nick Kyrgios was back to his old ways during his Laver Cup win over Tomas Berdych in Prague.

The world No.20 beat the former Wimbledon finalist 4-6 7-6 (7-4) 10-6 after Team Europe superstars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal beat Sam Querrey and Jack Sock respectively on day two.

Kyrgios was a set down and serving at 5-5 in the second set when he let fly after saving a break point and delivering what he believed to be an ace.

The umpire called it a let, leaving Kyrgios incredulous.

“What? I’m about to lose my s**t if you call that a let,” he was heard to say by TV cameras.

The official stuck by his call, telling Kyrgios the decision was made for him by the beep of the net machine.

“F**k the machine though,” the 22-year-old replied.

Team Europe later took a 9-3 lead when the highly anticipated doubles pairing of Federer and Nadal proved too strong Querrey and Sock, surviving a second-set scare to prevail 6-4 1-6 10-5.
