Jordan Thompson exits ATP’s Memphis Open

Jordan Thompson has made a disappointing opening round exit at the Memphis Open.

The world No.63 was beaten 6-3 6-0 by Nikoloz Basilashvili, in a match that lasted just over one hour.

Thompson, who made an impressive Davis Cup debut for Australia winning his singles rubbers against Czechs Jiri Vesely and Jan Satral in Kooyong earlier this month, is ranked four spots above the Georgian in the world ATP rankings.
