Injured Tomic out of Open warm-up: report

Bernard Tomic has reportedly withdrawn from his first-round match at the Australian Open warm up ATP tournaments in Melbourne due to injury.

Tomic was scheduled on court against fellow Australian Marc Polmans in Monday’s night session at Margaret Court Arena but pulled out mid-afternoon, despite posting video on social media earlier in the day of him playing basketball at his hotel.

Tennis Australia are yet to confirm it but broadcasters are reporting that youngster Harry Bourchier will replace Tomic in the Murray River Open, with the match still an all-Australian affair.
