Lleyton Hewitt is set to be confirmed as Australia’s new Davis Cup captain on Tuesday.

Wally Masur stood in as interim captain following Pat Rafter’s sudden resignation in January as Australia went on to lose in the semi-finals to Great Britain.

Tennis Australia have called a press conference for 9.45am in Melbourne when it’s expected that Hewitt – due to retire after next year’s Australian Open – will officially be given the job.
