Lleyton Hewitt has been handed a wildcard into next month’s prestigious Shanghai Masters.
Hewitt has made yet another impressive comeback from surgery to return to the cusp of the world’s top 100 with a third-round run at this month’s US Open in New York.
The Shanghai Masters, being held from October 7-14, will also feature the world’s leading players including the three of the season’s four grand slam winners in Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.
