Lleyton Hewitt will round out his Australian Open preparations at the Kooyong Classic in January.
The former world No.1 – and winner at Kooyong in 2011 – was among the first four players named on Wednesday to contest the eight-man event.
The others were 2009 US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro from Argentina, rising Japanese star Kei Nishikori and Marcos Baghdatis from Cyprus.
The Kooyong Classic celebrates its 25th anniversary next year.
