Daria Gavrilova has advanced to the final of the Hong Kong Open with a comfortable straight-sets win over Jennifer Brady of the United States.

The seventh seed, who overtook Samantha Stosur earlier this year as Australia’s top-ranked woman, raced through Saturday’s first set 6-0 but had to fight harder to take the second 7-5 against the 70th-ranked Brady.

In the decider, Gavrilova will face sixth-seeded Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova or China’s Qiang Wang.
