Australian Jarmila Gajdosova is through to the second round of the Hobart International after beating Italian Romina Oprandi in straight sets.
Gajdosova won 6-4 7-5 and will now play Olga Govortsova in the second round.
Gajdosova’s only WTA title came in Hobart back in early 2011.
Since then she has struggled, and her ranking has fallen to 183.
However, she was awarded a wildcard into the Australian open Women’s main draw.
