Wimbledon has unearthed arguably a bigger tennis brat than Bernard Tomic.

Fiery Frenchman Adrian Mannarino has racked up fines totalling $US15,000 ($A19,756) during his drama-charged run to the fourth round.

But while Tomic copped the same financial punishment for infuriating the All England Club with a confession that he was “a little bored” during his first-round loss, Mannarino is proving a serial offender when it comes to unsportsmanlike conduct.

The unseeded 29-year-old has been fined for three different offences.

Most controversially, he was fined $US4,000 for barging into a ball boy during his five-set second-round win over Yuichi Sugita.

Mannarino insisted the clash was unintentional as he engaged in a running battle with Serbian umpire Marijana Veljovic during the tense match on Court 16.

“What did I do? I was just passing by,” he protested.

“We were shoulder to shoulder. I was just trying to move. I was slowing down, (he) was close to me, I had to stop it.”

When the umpire told the player his behaviour was unacceptable, Mannarino became increasingly agitated.

“It’s a joke,” he said. “I’m hurting myself just not to hurt (him) and you give me a warning.

“Ball kids are the priority, right? I cannot walk to my chair? I’m not hitting him. I’m hitting him as much as he’s hitting me.”

Mannarino, who also smashed his racquet into London’s hallowed grass courts during his fiery display, piled up a total of $US9,000 in fines in the second round.

He has since been docked another $US6,000 for more unsportsmanlike conduct in his third-round match that also went the full distance against countryman Gael Monfils.

Mannarino is due to face triple champion Novak Djokovic later on Monday for a surprise place in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
