Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic will meet for the 35th time in Sunday’s Wimbledon final with the Swiss star boasting an 18-16 career head-to-head lead. They have met 11 times at the majors with Federer leading 6-5.
They have contested just one previous grand slam final.

Federer beat Djokovic 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (7-2) 6-4
– Federer captured his fourth consecutive US Open and 12th major overall despite being a break down in every set when 20-year-old Djokovic, who was playing in his first grand slam final, squandered a total of seven set points.
Federer became the first man to win Wimbledon and the US Open for four years in a row, and the first to win four straight US titles since Bill Tilden in 1923.
